Challenges pertaining to a sequence within a larger sequence

A subsequence is a sequence that is a part of a larger sequence. For example, the sequence of prime numbers less than 10 (2, 3, 5, 7) is a subsequence of the sequence of prime numbers (2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, ...). The same applies to strings (or character sequences): "ell" is a subsequence of the string "Hello, World!".

Challenges with this tag may involve recognizing a subsequence as part of a larger sequence (such as identifying whether a sequence of integers is a part of the Fibonacci sequence), determining where in the larger sequence the subsequence occurs, or related matters.
