It's a long long time since I have been in school. I will take your comment to mean that the problem is very clearly written so that even first year computer science students can understand it ;-)
It does sound a bit contrived doesn't it. Then again, I think you have spotted a flaw in this whole site. Where in the real world would you need to write golfed code?
