It looks like your first three are pretty similar except for the innermost part, but I am not sure if you are doing some kind of binary expansion (hence 8 cells needed), or a bit by bit compare, or some combination of the two. Hard to see by stepping through. | |

Great work! I did intend for each program to take input from the console, but the more I think about it, your way works fine. No need to make you add ,>,< . I'll edit question.
