Too bad the question stipulates that the order must be ascending, otherwise you could've saved a byte by using a decrementing while loop instead of the for loop like so i=10;while(i)alert(i--) .

Welcome to PPCG! I think you can save a byte by doing alert(i++) (and removing the other i++ ).
