Jul 12, 2017 at 12:24 comment added axiac @JörgHülsermann I don't get the $argn hint. I am aware of the "X"->X trick but I probably forgot about it when I wrote this solution. I write PHP code since 2002 but until today I didn't notice that PHP provides the chop() function. Thank you for this hint.

I checked your solution now (didn't do it before); we have basically used the same algorithm. Yours handles the last step better than mine. I can strip 25 more bytes if I implement $count --;.
