@Sieg r is the Python-range function, therefore the -1 (r1N creates the list [1, 2, ..., N-1]). But in the Nth iteration of the loop, I want the list [1, 2, ..., N+1], therefore I need to add 2 to N. r1hhN translates directly to range(1, N+1+1). Another possibility would be r1+N2 (range(1, N+2)).
