Seriously, I think every single time I've used Get-Date with -f, someone has reminded me that you don't need the quotes. And good call with removing the space, too, since the parser treats the ] as the end of a token. Thanks!

Jan 6, 2017 at 22:29 comment added admalledd Should be able to remove the space between $args[0] and -f, as well as remove the single quotes around the format str: date $args[0]-f HHmm. At least this works on my powershell...
