@ManfP The actual output can't be produced in whole or in part by print (without adding new Show instances). This is because print adds a trailing newline and the only newline in the output is the second character. No native haskell object has a show that produces a single tab or the empty string to my knowledge.

What is preventing the use of print ? The characters are still available (set("print")<=set("main")|set("putChar"))
