Dec 23, 2016 at 22:34 comment added Dennis Not exactly sure how MATL works internally, but if you execute it in an environment incapable of requesting input (such as TIO's backend), it won't be able to get any input. Also, pressing Ctrl-D or the OS-dependent equivalent should be allowed to send empty input.
Dec 23, 2016 at 22:32 comment added Luis Mendo @Dennis Hm the offline program will keep waiting for user input. Input is interactive, i.e. requested as needed in the offline version. So the program will wait indefinitely. Not sure that counts?
