Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of interacting with machines in a much more natural way than we currently do. Most people will agree machines are difficult sometimes. Wouldn't it be great if a computer could understand what we want, instead of us having to explain our desires to a computer (in the way the computer wants it)?

In the Semantic Web vision, automated agents browse the Web for us—much like we do it ourselves these days. However, there is still a long way to go… Yet, I believe things are heading towards the right direction, and I want to be part of it.

This is why I am currently pursuing a PhD degree at Multimedia Lab, a research group of iMinds and Ghent University. My interests include the Semantic Web, Web services, hypermedia APIs, multimedia analysis, and more. If you're still reading, we should talk.
